Terms of Use for Receiving Lok8u Location Based Information via SMS
Lok8u customers can opt-in to receive SMS notifications from Lok8u. If customers elect to receive SMS notifications, they are required to select the corresponding service plan to receive SMS notifications. Standard /other charges may apply to all SMS messages to and generated by Lok8u customers for Lok8u SMS notifications.
The registration process requires customers to provide their mobile phone information on the website, select those types of SMS notifications they wish to receive and check the acceptance box for terms and conditions. They will then receive a Mobile-terminated message asking them to confirm that they do intend to opt-in to receive SMS notifications from Common Short Code 53588. The customer replies “Y” for YES to the short-code and is then allowed to receive those SMS notifications that they selected at the activation page.
Customers who choose to receive Location Based Information via Short Message Service (“SMS”) to their mobile phones must review and agree to these additional terms :
The Lok8u.com website features a box that a Customer must check to if Customer was to receive Location Information via SMS.
Customers must enter the mobile phone number of their mobile phone where prompted on the Lok8u.com website. This number is for the mobile phone to which the Customer wants to have mobile notifications sent. This process enables the Customer to receive SMS notifications.
All terms of the Lok8u Customer Agreement apply regarding Lok8u’s use of SMS messages to send Location Information to Customers.
Once a Customer has registered at Lok8u.com to receive Location Information via SMS, he or she can query the location of his or her Lok8u device(s) using the following SMS commands:

Clock Analogue text “clock”
Clock 12 hour digital text “12”
Clock 24 hour digital text “24”
Standby text “stand”
Customer can go to Lok8u.com to read FAQ’s of the Terms and Conditions, or customer can contact Lok8u customer service at 1-888-423-1887 toll free, or customer can send an email to support-usa@Lok8u.com, or Customer can also text HELP to the short code 56588. Lok8u will then send an SMS to the Customer that reads: “This is a Lok8u locator service. Visit http://www.lok8u.com for help or send request to support-usa@Lok8u.com. To stop service type STOP.”
