Terms of Use for Receiving Lok8u Location Based Information via SMS
Lok8u customers can opt-in to receive SMS notifications from Lok8u. As a customer if you elect to receive SMS notifications, you are required to select the corresponding service plan to receive SMS notifications. Standard /other charges may apply to all SMS messages to and generated by Lok8u customers for Lok8u SMS notifications. Message frequency as per account setting
The registration process requires you to provide your mobile phone information on the website, select those types of SMS notifications you wish to receive and check the acceptance box for terms and conditions. You will then receive a Mobile-terminated message asking you to confirm that you do intend to opt-in to receive SMS notifications from Common Short Code 56588. You reply “OK” to the short-code and are then allowed to receive those SMS notifications selected at the activation page.
As a customer if you choose to receive Location Based Information via Short Message Service (“SMS”) on your mobile phone, you must review and agree to these additional terms :
- The Lok8u.com website features a box that you must check to receive Location Information via SMS.
- You must enter the mobile phone number of your mobile phone where prompted on the Lok8u.com website. This number is for the mobile phone to which you want to have mobile notifications sent. This process enables you to receive SMS notifications.
By entering your mobile phone number you certify that
A) You are the account holder or
B) Have the holder’s permission to do so
C) Will only use the alerts for lawful purposes
D) Your wireless device does not provide location only receives notification
All terms of the Lok8u Customer Agreement apply regarding Lok8u’s use of SMS messages to send Location Information to Customers. Once a Customer has registered at Lok8u.com to receive Location Information via SMS, he or she can query the location of his or her Lok8u device(s) using the following SMS commands:

Clock 24 hour digital text “24”

Customer can go to Lok8u.com to read FAQ’s of the Terms and Conditions, or customer can contact Lok8u customer service at 1-888-423-1887 toll free, or customer can send an email to support-usa@Lok8u.com, or Customer can also text HELP to the short code 56588. Lok8u will then send an SMS to the Customer that reads: “This is a Lok8u locator service. Visit http://www.lok8u.com for help or send request to support-usa@Lok8u.com. To stop service type STOP.”
